I've been promising it for a while but I finally got round to making a download for other people to try out my Launchpad MIDI experiments.

legend. Just so you know, the midi yoke link doesnt work. You need to remove the - from the link.
ReplyDeleteThanks alot for this!
Rob
thanks guys! i've updated midiox link and have got thinking about making a VST... hmmm that would make things easier to use
ReplyDeleteany small chance of a max4live patch ?
ReplyDeleteOoh yes a VST!
ReplyDeleteis this working for macs too?
ReplyDeleteno, unfortunately its windows only.. i don't have a mac.. it should be possible to port the code pretty easily though, if anyone wants to have a go...
ReplyDeleteThis is great fun. Thanks for putting this up! I don't think that your Conway's Life algorithm is quite right though. I can't make any gliders or anything work. Even two blocks next to each other will explode.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna have to check into that... I cribbed the "life" rules from wikipedia but i will re-check my code and try to get some standard gliders and stuff to work. Also need to get back into looking at VSTs.... watch this space and thanks for the comments.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just can't make it work. When I select an option, it says "Could not open MIDI device". I checked with Live and the Launchpad is well connected and working. What should I do?
ReplyDeleteFigured it out! MIDI Yoke is really called MIDI Yoke NT. Just changed the ini file.
ReplyDeletedoesn't work on windows 7
ReplyDeleteThe driver can't be installed on 64bit systems :(
ReplyDeleteare you still playing with launchpad ??
ReplyDeletei'm making some Processing App and i will try to release them as public and "usable for live performance" , if you're interested maybe we can collaborate! anyway congrats for all your works!!
Yeah - I have been playing with a standalone USB host version of this so you can use Launchpad as a midi controller without a computer. I'd be interested to see what you're up to.. drop me a PM
ReplyDeleteCheers
Jason
hotchk155 left you an email!
ReplyDeleteis there any progress on the VST?
Hi - unfortunately not any real progress on the VST :( I am still planning to try to make a little microcontroller based USB host gizmo to plug into the Launchpad USB port and provide a standard MIDI out, with these sequencer apps built into it.
ReplyDeleteDownload link ??:)
